A good display of daffodils in the wild garden
Due to the pandemic/lockdown, we were unable to get out to see the wild daffodils on the Herefordshire/Gloucestershire border this Spring. This photo from 2018.
Next year, maybe...
And the flowering cherry, after offering hints of spring during the winter with a blossom here and a blossom there, is now coming out in its full glory.
The snake's head fritillary has appeared (apologies for the out-of-focus photo) in the garden. One of our local nature reserves (Lugg Meadow) often has a fine display of the fritillaria meleagris.
A somewhat better picture a few days later when the flower had opened a bit more.
